Step 1: Center Stone Cut

The process begins with choosing the center stone, this will determine your design options

Round and princess cut stones are easier to integrate into any ring setting; as opposed to more unique shapes, such as marquise and heart, which have limited options.

Step 2: Choosing a Stone

Though engagement rings traditionally have a diamond center stone, non-diamond center stones are also available for choosing. Sapphires, rubies, emeralds, and other gemstones commonly take the place of diamonds in custom-designed engagement rings.

Step 3: Style

It can be very helpful to know the style you want and what design elements you do or do not want to be included, below are examples:

↳ Should it be a solitaire, halo, three-stone, or side-stone design?

↳ Should it be an eternity, half-eternity, or non-eternity band?

↳ Do you prefer a traditional yellow gold, a more modern white gold, or a unique rose gold for metal?

Some examples for styles are: traditional, vintage, or modern. If you’re aiming to surprise your fiancée-to-be, try to bring some pictures of rings they like so we can emulate the style.

Step 4: Sizing

After you’ve found the perfect center stone and style, we can figure out sizing. It’s best to get as close as possible to her ring size.
